Canon 1DX Mark III Review

As a professional photographer, I've always been a fan of the 1DX line of cameras from Canon. But to be honest, I've been envious of the mirrorless tech that has been taking over the market. So, when I heard about the brand-new 1DX Mark III, I was beyond excited.

I've been using this camera for the past two weeks, and I can say with confidence that it is my dream camera. Despite its similarities to the 1DX line in terms of reliability and durability, there are some significant upgrades in the 1DX Mark III.

One of the most notable upgrades is the new autofocus button, also known as the Smart Controller. This new button has been the talk of the town since the development announcement, and I can assure you, you're going to love what it does. The camera also features a 20.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and a new 16-point low-pass filter, which combined, provide an improved sense of sharpness, resolution, and better noise reduction.

The upper limit of the ISO has also been increased by one stop, allowing for better low-light shooting. I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in low noise and high ISO when I was shooting in a dark church. The camera also has a higher frame per second rate, with the mechanical shutter going up to 16 frames per second and even higher in live view and full silent mode.

Another great feature of the 1DX Mark III is its hybrid quality between an optical viewfinder and a mirrorless camera. The live view has been enhanced to be more like a mirrorless shooting camera, with frames per second going up to 20. The camera also has a full silent mode, which is perfect for photographers who need to take pictures without making any noise.

Finally, the 1DX Mark III has a dual card CF Express, allowing for longer continuous shooting. You can hold down the shutter button for up to a thousand photos, and rumor has it that it's been held down for well over a minute without stopping.

In conclusion, the 1DX Mark III is a must-have for professional photographers. Its upgrades make it the ultimate camera for shooting in any situation, whether it be in low light or with fast-moving subjects. If you're looking for your next camera upgrade, the 1DX Mark III is definitely worth considering.
